Strategy

  • Develop marketing investment strategies (people, marketing channels, marketing tech) based on your business goals

  • Create annual marketing strategy and quarterly/monthly plans rolling up to the strategy

  • Build marketing plans around specific 360 campaigns

  • Determine strategies for individual digital channels (e.g. paid search, social, influencer, affiliate, online display ads, online video/CTV, email, SMS, etc.) and traditional channels (ex: TV, billboards, magazines, direct mail, radio, etc.)

  • Set strategy for growing a product or category

Assessment & Feedback

  • Assess existing agency partnership work and provide actionable feedback

  • Identify areas of opportunity within marketing budget for cost savings

  • Assess marketing program to identify optimization opportunities for efficient growth based on your objectives (e.g. top line revenue growth, product adoption, market share, impressions/reach, etc.)

  • Evaluate marketing/sales funnel and provide feedback

  • Review existing marketing channel mix and provide feedback

  • Identify new marketing channel strategies for quick wins or longer-term growth opportunities

  • Vet new brand partnerships or existing business opportunities for business impact with evaluation and feedback

  • Review existing marketing metrics along with any internal data or analysis and provide feedback on adjustments to marketing plan

  • Develop KPIs for marketing program based on provided business goals

People

  • Create criteria for helping you select an outside marketing/brand/social/influencer/PR/digital agency

  • Run the RFI/RFP process for outside marketing agency selection

  • Conduct on-going management of outside agency work for accountability to your goals and provide strategic direction to agency partners

  • Build out internal marketing team talent plan for your business growth

  • Identify and help interview new talent to round out (or level up) your internal marketing team

  • Manage and direct existing marketing team through critical launches

  • Assume Fractional CMO position within your organization for set hours with clear objectives

  • Serve in an Interim capacity for your organization

  • Take on paid Corporate Board and Advisor roles within a business

  • Provide mentorship to individuals in marketing at all levels to help navigate a career, work place dynamics, and other key areas of interest related to the business

  • Participate in speaking opportunities
